If you want you can click the "Remove automatic edits" button on the "Edit Processed Activity" tab of the uploaded log file page to easily remove all the segments and turn the full track into a single activity (see http://blog.gpsloglabs.com/updates-for-september-2nd-95408 for more details.)

If you want separate activity segments still, you can share more than one of them on a single page by embedding the graphs and maps into a blog page (see http://blog.gpsloglabs.com/embedding-maps-and-graphs-in-your-site for more details.)

At a guess I'd say the other sites and apps are performing some smoothing and cleanup of the raw data before they display it.

You can do the same thing in GPSLog Labs if you wish, see http://blog.gpsloglabs.com/new-gps-track-filters for some details. You may want to add a Speed filter to discard points with speeds you could never physically achieve, or you could add a Speed Median filter to smooth the resulting speed graph without discarding the points.

Unfortunately, KML files are not really supported by GPSLog Labs (or the GPSBabel program we rely on to handle the many formats we do accept.)

You can use http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/ to convert your KML file to a GPX and then upload that or better still, use an app that saves your data in GPX format, which is the standard for transferring between devices and applications.

If you're good with Python, Ruby or Perl, you may be able to write a script to convert your KML file to a simpler CSV which will be supported by GPSLog Labs.

GPSLog Labs is designed to automate as much editing of your tracks as possible, and moving individual points is kind of the opposite of that. You should try and use filters that fix general problems (like points that are way too fast, or areas where you consistently get bad GPS signals.)

I can't see your log, it looks like you've probably changed something and will need to share it again, so it's a little hard to make a suggestion but maybe you could add a Time Filter to delete the bad point and maybe Add Waypoints to move the point back to where you want it.

That is fiddly and maybe a better option is to use another program that allows you to edit the file before uploading it to GPSLog Labs.

Click on the Organize tab, then click on your place in the Places table.

On the Place detail page you'll see an Edit link below the name, on that page you can rename it and move it if necessary.

GPSLog Labs uses http://www.gpsbabel.org/ to handle file format conversions. Please contribute your code to that project and it will be available in GPSLog Labs.

1) That is actually available as a semi-hidden feature, you can go to http://gpsloglabs.com/places/add and add a place without uploading a file first.

2) That would be a great feature and it's on the wishlist, but it's going to be a lot of work, so don't hold your breath.

3) Adding multiple places is relatively rare, so it's better to have a simple workflow for the usual case. You can use the link in 1) to add the places before you upload the log.

GPSLog Labs uses GPSBabel for file conversion, so until it supports PWX files, I would suggest using http://www.pwx2gpx.com/ or a similar program to convert your files to GPX.

KML files are generally not the best format for transferring GPS tracks and unfortunately they can't be read by GPSLog Labs.

I suggest using GPX or one of the many other formats designed for exchanging data between programs.
